June 11 - ComDev (CDV) hit a 52-week high yesterday and has been in overbought territory recently so we have been looking at it as a short. After disappointing earnings where they swung to a loss we see this as an attractive short at these levels.
From the $5.70 range the stock fell to $5.40, before rebounding, then falling agaiin to around the same range.
June 5 - Overbought- Manulife Financial (MFC) has hit a 52-week high and entered into overbought territory. I think the stock is ahead of itself on the excitement over interest rate hikes, which are still nowhere in site except for a possible slow increase beginning in September in the US (a forecast which has been pushed back for over a year now). We like the stock and hold some for a long-term dividend grower, however we would not be putting new money into this name at this point.
Trading rangebound the stock went from $23.64 to highs around $24 and lows of around $22.50.
