BNN Marketcall Top Picks

July 31 - Rob Lauzon is a great oil and gas guest and his top picks Torc Oil & Gas (TOG), Arc Resources (ARX) and Whitecap (WCP) are all on the safer side of the oil & gas plays and all performed well after his recommendations. We traded all three for very brief, small gains.

July 3 - All three picks were firsts from Bruce Campbell: Alimentation Couche-Tard (ATD.b), a large cap trading at its highs and excessive valuations in our opinion is not at all attractive to us; Carmanah Technologies (CRH) is a new name to us, earnings are increasing so this name should grow into its valuation, but we're not going to chase this near 52 week highs in this type of market; DIRTT Environmental (DRT) has pulled back somewhat off its highs and is finally gettign some analyst attention, however it is still double the prrice we began trading it at approximately a year ago, so we're comfortable waiting for it to come down even further or letting it go if lower levels do not come.We are more interested in the other names he owns and frequently talks about: Convalo, Patient Home, Slyce and Vogogo and we think all of those names offer more potential than his top picks.

July 1 - Again a top BNN guests is hidden from us until the last minute (we had a feeling this was the case, due to their abilities to significantly move stocks). Therefore, as we had hoped Bruce Campbell was confirmed to be the guest tomorrow on Marketcall. Expect the usual comments on Michael Dalsin's trio: Convalo (CXV), Patient Home (PHM) and any updates on Inspira (apparently the ticker will be LND according to Bruce). We're also looking forward to hearing about Vogogo (VGO) after a significant price decline recently, and Slyce (SLC), which is just bouncing abover 52 week lows. There is a lot of potential in the small, relatively unknown names he covers and this is a great opportunity to hear opinions on these stocks that very few analysts cover. If we're lucky we may even hear about a new name or two.
